Have you ever felt like you were just drifting?

You go to work, you see your family, you follow the traditions you were born into. You're a good person, living a normal life. But deep down, there's a feeling—a tiny, nagging suspicion—that the reality you've been presented with isn't the whole story.

That's precisely where Brother Paul Chike Ugochukwu was in 1980.

To understand the man behind the revolutionary, world-shaking book, "The Holy Spirit Is Black & African: Salvation Is Now Of The Gentiles," you have to understand his origin story. And let me tell you, it's not what you think.

He wasn't religious or a theologian. He wasn't a pastor nor was he even a spiritual guy.

He was, in his own words, "an empty vessel." And that's exactly what made him the perfect person to receive a message that could and should change the world; the greatest message since creation.

"The Man Before the Mission"

Let's rewind to 1980. Brother Paul is a young, active professional, training and check airline captain. He was born into a Roman Catholic family, and that was the extent of his spiritual life. He went to the family church. He did the things you're "supposed" to do.

But let's be crystal clear: he was spiritually naive.

He had never read a Bible. He didn't own one. He had never read a gospel or heard a sermon preached. The concept of "seers," "visioners," or "prophets" were as alien to him as the dark side of the moon. He had dreams, sure, but he dismissed them. They were just... dreams.

He was a blank slate. He had no pre-conceived notions, no deep theological training, and no spiritual agenda. He was just a man, living his life.

And then he tagged along with a friend to an appointment that would shatter his reality forever.

"The Prophecy He Never Asked For"

The appointment was for his friend, who had booked and paid to see a lady seer in London. Brother Paul was just there for the ride.

When they arrived, the seer did something strange. She completely ignored the person who had the actual appointment. She turned, locked eyes with Brother Paul—a total stranger—and asked a question that made no sense.

"Where is your father?"

Confused, he replied, "My father passed away in 1966."

The seer shook her head. "No. Your Father is not dead."

Can you imagine the chill running down his spine? She continued, painting a picture of a man he had never met, a reality he couldn't comprehend.

"Your Father is a tall, dark, gentleman who lives at the rear end of what looks like a church building. He wears a white Robe. He is always with you wherever you go. To see Him physically, you have to pass a vast plantation of palm trees. He will tell you everything about you."

Brother Paul's reaction? He thought she was nuts. "I concluded that she didn't know what she was talking about," he recalls. "I definitely did not have two fathers."

He walked away from that encounter, dismissing it as bizarre. But a seed had been planted. A crack had appeared in the foundation of his "normal" life.

"The Encounter That Changed Everything"

Fast forward to early 1981. The prophecy is a weird, forgotten memory. Then, it happens.

Brother Paul has a spiritual encounter with this "Mysterious Being," the "Father" the seer had described. And this Being doesn't just introduce Himself. He proceeds to tell Brother Paul everything about his own life.

Think about that. Not just the big events. Everything to the minutest details."

Imagine someone revealing your most private thoughts, your hidden memories, the secrets you've never told a soul. There is only one possible conclusion. Brother Paul was shattered and remade in that moment.

He confessed, "You... you must be God who created me. You are God. Nobody could reveal my present and past, and thoughts other than God."

And then, the most shocking twist of all. The Mysterious Being replied, "I am not God but......."

Who is this Being? What is His Name?

That name, Brother Paul says, is revealed in the book. This was the first revelation: the Being that "created me" was not the one he'd been taught about in his Roman Catholic church. This was someone... something... else.

"The Prophecy Fulfilled: Miles of Palm Trees"

His old life was over. Brother Paul was baptized by immersion in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in 1981, and received the Holy Spirit. His spiritual eyes were now wide open. And the first thing he had to do? He had to find this "Father" physically.

He travelled to locate Him. And as he got closer to the destination, the lady seer's words from 1980 came rushing back. To get to Him, "we passed miles of palm trees," just as she had foretold. The impossible prophecy was true.

When he finally stood before Him, he wasn't met with a king on a golden throne. The sight struck him to his core.

This "Supreme Being" was the picture and complete definition of humility. "He was seated on the floor barefooted and dressed in a white singlet and wrapper."

But His physical form was just a Holy Temple. The power was undeniable. Brother Paul describes an "affecting and imposing spiritual presence that was pervasive. He exuded absolute love and peace."

"Student of the Supreme Spirit"

This physical meeting was just the beginning. From that point on, Brother Paul became a student in a spiritual school unlike any on Earth.

This "Father" engaged with him constantly, primarily in dreams, discussing only the word of God and spirituality. His knowledge was limitless.

"He knew everything about everything, and everything about everybody, dead or alive, on this earth."

"He demonstrated to me how all powers in the universe belong to Him."

"He took me to various places outside of this world. He was known and worshipped everywhere in all the realms."

This Being, Brother Paul learned, is the "Quickening Spirit that moves around the universe doing all things." He is the "Designer, Maker, Source and Substance, and Controller of all creation in all the universes."

He is the "Supreme Spirit of the Universe." The "Father of all fathers."

And this all-powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, all-loving, all-merciful Being, had a specific job for the "empty unworthy vessel" he had chosen.

"The Mission."

In late 1981 or early 1982, Brother Paul was given two titles from "high heavens": ANNOUNCER and BEARER.

At the time, they meant nothing to him. He was just beginning his journey. But the Being explained his life's purpose. "He said that what one should pray for was to know what one came to do on this earth, one's mission."

Brother Paul's mission was to be the Announcer of this Being's presence on earth and the Bearer of His message and teachings.

For decades, this was his private reality. He was a student, learning from the Source of all creation. He published some spiritual works, but the main event was yet to come.

"The 2020 Pandemic and the Command"

During the fear, chaos, and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the command came. "I was commanded from the highest heavens," Brother Paul states, "to start writing the books whose titles and contents were revealed to me."

This wasn't a passion project. It wasn't a "good idea for a book." It was a divine mandate. The time for private lessons was over. The time for the Announcer to speak had arrived.

Why Has This Been Kept Secret?

This is the question that burns, isn't it? If this "Supreme Spirit" is real, if He's the "Father of all fathers of all creation," why don't we all know about Him?

Brother Paul gives a chilling answer: "There is a conspiracy of silence against Him and rejection of Him," to fulfill the scriptures that "First must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation."

He's not the only one who has seen Him. Brother Paul notes that "He has revealed Himself to millions of people all over the world, including a certain prophetess in South Africa," but the world's power structures—religious, political, and historical—have conspired to keep this truth buried.

Why?

Because this truth shatters everything. It shatters the false histories we've been taught. It shatters the religious hierarchies that control the narrative. And, as the title of his book reveals, it re-centers the entire story of salvation on the very people who have been "despised and rejected."
